What’s the Story Behind the Designer Audiology Logo?

Dec 29, 2015

Embedded in the Designer Audiology logo is symbolism that may not be obvious to those unfamiliar with audiologist services. Above the “Designer Audiology” text is not a city skyline, as some people think. Rather, it’s a waveform, a graph that represents an audio signal and shows the changes in amplitude over time. Waveforms are common in audio and mathematical fields. In the profession of audiology, the waveform is a visual representation of the sounds you hear. The waveform in the Designer Audiology logo is an artistic visualization of audiologist Dr. Spoor saying the words “Designer Audiology.” The stylized font and blue and purple colors reflect the elegance, professionalism, and warmth of the practice. Dr. Spoor and her husband decided on the name Designer Audiology to reflect the commitment to individual, personalized, state-of-the-art hearing healthcare.

What did you think the first time you saw the logo? Were you one of the many who saw the DC skyline? Did you think it was a mountain range? Did the logo play any role in your decision to learn more about Designer Audiology? We’d love to hear your thoughts, comments, and feedback; email them to info@DesignerAudiology.com.
